Morton Lake
Morton Lake is a British Columbia Provincial Park located above Campbell River on Vancouver Island. In 1938, a devastating fire burned over 30,000 hectares of forest surrounding the lake. Remnants of the fire is evident in burnt out stumps and fallen logs. Nutrients from these trees has given life to a second growth forest rich in biodiversity.
